Colorful Fall Objects
Draw, Color, and Paint Project
Get inspired by pop artist Romero Britto’s artwork, known for using bright colors and bold patterns throughout his designs. Students can apply these same concepts to their fall artwork using Prang colored pencils and watercolors.

Step One
Fold your paper
Fold your paper in half, then fold it in half again to create four equal sections.
Step Two
Draw your fall objects
Use a pencil to draw one of your favorite fall objects in each section. Make each drawing large enough to fill most of the space, extending close to the edges.
Step Three
Add patterns and shapes.
Divide each fall object into smaller sections, then fill them with interesting shapes and patterns, such as zigzags, circles, and other fun designs.
Step Four
Add color
Use colored pencils to color in the shapes and patterns inside each fall object.
Step Five
Outline your drawings
Once you have finished coloring, use an art marker to carefully outline each of your four fall objects.
Step Six
Create a watercolor background
Dip a paintbrush in water and gently brush over the marker outlines, allowing the color to bleed and spread into the background. Watch as the colors blend to create a beautiful effect!
Step Seven
Let your artwork dry
Allow your masterpiece to dry completely before displaying it. This will help prevent the colors from smearing or running. Step back, admire your work, and enjoy your colorful fall creation!
