Round Things
How many round things can your students think of? This project lets students exercise their creativity along with their drawing and painting skills.
Dixon Ticonderoga Materials:

- Prang® Paint Brushes
- Prang® Stable Water Pots
Other Materials:
- Permanent Marker

Step One
Provide each student with a dry erase marker and activity page inside a plastic sleve protector. Instruct students to fill in each circle with a drawing of a different round thing. Encourage them to fill all nine circles.
Step Two
Have students choose one of their practice drawings from the activity sheet to create their final artwork. Use the permanent marker to draw the chosen design on a Mixed Media Circle. Feel free to use tracing techniques if desired.
Step Three
Add detail to the design with the permanent marker.
Step Four
Use the washable art markers to add color along the permanent marker lines.
Step Five
Using a paintbrush and water, spread the color from the washable art marker, creating a watercolor effect. This will produce the final artwork.
